'About Us'
Help Save lives
Your kind donations will enable us to save more lives by improving conditions for the many cancer patients by obtaining urgent medical supplies for the Apeksha Cancer Hospital in Sri Lanka. Any funds raised for the "Ride For Apeksha" campaign via the Rotary Australia Overseas Aid Fund (RAOAF) are tax deductible within Australia.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to be the facilitators of a fundraising campaign to seek urgent medical supplies to support the cancer patients and assisting staff at the Apeksha Cancer Hospital in Sri Lanka during Sri Lanka’s largest economic crisis.
This includes an activity theme based on “Riding” to provide awareness of the campaign where funds are raised via sponsorship and personal donations funnelled through the RAOAF, and medical supplies are procured with the help of the Red Cross Sri Lanka directly to the hospital.

Our Team
The event is organized by the Australian Committee of the Old Boys Association of the D.S Senanayake College, Colombo with a partnership with Rotary and the Red Cross Sri Lanka. Over the years, in collaboration with community organisations in Australia, we have raised funds for humanitarian issues including the 2004 tsunami and floods affecting Sri Lanka (2017), Victorian bushfires (2019), and COVID-19 affected communities in Australia and Sri Lanka (2020 to date). This collective body provides a platform for other Sri Lankan Victorian community organisations and volunteers to unitedly work under one banner. Through the generous efforts of all the organisations and individuals involved, our holistic, pragmatic and transparent approach has produced rewarding outcomes
